A little over budget but you'll get a superb gaming TV with a 5 year warranty from one of the very best UK retailers (IMO)

Here's a review of the 50" and there's loads of feedback around the forums

I wouldn't touch a Philips from pixmania, it won't be a UK model, which means the smart features may not all be present and you'll only get a one year warranty. If there's an issue with the TV, john Lewis will sort it out, you may have more of a battle with pixmania

I agree with vickster. Get the Sony.
I would not touch the philips at all.

The Sony, if it's not sold out - unfortunately it is at JL and RS, the only retailers I'd use
