    you have lots of options depending on budget....the scart board would be fine for a console / dvd / freeview if you use a scart switcher (they all plug into that and teh switcher plugs into teh screen) but you can spend more pennies and get better results by getting a component board for the dvd player (if it has component out...the red, green, blue rca connections) you can also get a js rgb to vga converter for freeview http://www.js-technology.com/produc...&osCsid=364569fb1302acf950d3345b527135c6...if you tell us more about your budget and what you have there is plenty of help to be had here

    could go to maybe 1300 also will i need to buy an amp i take it to make sound come out is this correct or can i plug it into my hifi it has a scart and a video in and out

    it has an iternal AMP that you can run a pair odf small HiFI speakers of from £10 up but i would say spend £70-80 and get a decent sound (or if HiFi has AUX in use that)

    so get an amp as you said above and bobs your uncle the show is up and running cant afford everthing right now but if i add bits here and there it will be cool so get the panny for 1170 and an amp for 80 quid and all will be sorted am i right hd and upgrade as i go

    Richers have got some Mordant Shorts in black and silver at the moment, round £100 which are really quite good. They'd be ideal as the front left and right in a full surround system later.

    my hifi does not have a scart socket i was wrong thinking of my last one so do i need to buy a seprate amp to get noise from the the panny also my hifi does have an video in and out dont know what thats for thank you very guys for taking the time with me

    NO the PAnasonic PLASMA HAS AN AMP IN IT.
    YOu need speakers OR can connect it to AUX in on HiFi................

    (whats the obsession with an amp????)

    l just cant get enough of them i love amps only joking thanks hd for your time and effort so speakers and thats me fantastic i hope this is all worth it but by the looks of things it should be thank you once again
