Looking at beamax or Owl Which one?

Have panny AE700 and am consiering the 74" beamax A Series at £200, Gordon at Convergent Av rates them.

I would also consider the 72" diagonal owl screen at £400-£500 but have not seen anyone reviewing them. I am going for a fixed screen between 1.2 gain and 1.5 max.

i looked at both when getting my screen and ended up with the owl
i based my decsieion partly on the dealer and partly on build
owl was recomended by two very good local dealers
the store that sold the bemax took 3 atemts to price the right sceen tried to sell me a 4 by 3 screen at first
i found the owl build for me was better but the bemax was £200-300 and the owl was £700 so i would expect a differance in quality
have a close look both and make your mind up from there
i am a happy owl owner

You'll find the people at Beamax to be very friendly and extremely helpfull if you contact them direct.

What's more there's been more than couple of bad reports about Owl on here in the past.

i bought the 185x104 (200x119 overall) fixed beamax screen and i think it is superb - no ripples at all - fabric under good even tension.

I got mine from hifibitz at a very good price i thought!
