looking at Acer Revo RL100, but will it do what I want?

Hi All,
Upgrading to a my first HD TV soon, so thinking about a Blu Ray solution that will do a bit more. I like the look of the Acer Revo RL100, but will it play back a Blu ray disc without much of a drama? What I mean is, being a media PC is it really ready to go out of the box, or will I have to get addition software? it comes with Windows 7 premium. Also, will the HDMI out into the telly do the job of getting the all required signals out ?

windows 7 does not play bluray natively you will need additional software such as total media theatre of powerdvd. However as its touted as a bluray play with windows I suspect it bundles powerdvd with it. Its probably the crippled version though which doesnt give full hd audio but downmixed stereo
