didnt know wether to put this in teh 360 part or not but

my tv is too far away when wall mounted from my dvd player (CA dvd 86) and my xbox 360,

Im currently using a cambrige audio HDMI lead (3m) and the standard xbox HD component leads.

however with these now both too short i will need 5m cabling, so im pretty much set with the http://www.tvcables.co.uk/cgi-bin/tvcables/techlink-5m-hdmi-680205.html

for the DVD but am unsure about getting the 360 to the tv.

i cant find any 5m component leads for the 360 on any site or store, so it looks as tho ill ahve to purchase a seperate lead, cna anyone advise on the best way to connect it to the xbox lead, and if so is it worth buying a quality component lead, such as a mark grant one due to the cheap nature of bundled console leads.

on that note, is it worth gettnig the hdmi cable from mark as well?

sorry for bad grammer and spelling, its late and ive been at work all day.

    cheers

    ok thanks guys,

if there any way of combining the standard 360 cable with some normal compoment cable , like an adapter or a converter, and would this result in loss of quality?

Just buy a decent quality (phono-phono) component video cable and digital audio cable, and connect them to your short XBox 360 lead using 4 of these...

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=1017&criteria=phono%20coupler&doy=6m1

5m is quite a short run, so you will not suffer any loss of quality as long you buy reasonable quality cables.

To keep things neat, look for a single cable that contains both the component and audio connections. Any small cable manufacturer would be happy to build one for you ;)
