Very few home cinema projectors have the option of interchangeable lenses.
I'm pretty sure the 7200 isn't one of them.

    Have you measured up Mark?

The Infocus/MT8 has a throw of 1.49 to 2.08:1 (distance to width). i.e. for example I have a 2m wide image with the projector 4m away from the screen.

Do you have a langer than average room or are you looking at projecting a smaller image?

p.s. check out the specs at www.infocushome.com

It has a superb throw calculator which lets you set any variable and experiment with throw distances etc.

There is no optional lens for the 7200.

    I think the ones I've heard of with long throw options are;
    Marantz
    Sharp
    Sim2
but they can be very pricey and sometimes not that much more 'long' throw.

    Thanks Ian,

I've checked the links you've provided.

The room's 6.5m long with an entertainment unit at one end with the TV etc. in. So I'm looking at a throw of about 5m from the back wall of the room which would give me a screen about 2.4m wide.

This sounds great until I realised that a screen that width would cover my speakers that are housed within the shelves of the entertainment unit.

I was hoping to put the projector on the back wall out of the way. It looks like I'm going to have to move it forward a little into the room so it'll be a little more conspicuous.

    Thanks,

    Mark

PS I've made an offer on Postie's projector and am waiting for a reply...
