I was on the verge of purchasing a Z2 (after several weeks of reading this most excellent forum..) when I discovered that the throw was too short for my room (thanks to an owners manual download from a previous post).

I'll be wall mounting the PJ about 6 metres from the screen (white wall initially) and image width is 'limited' to around 3 metres.

Can anyone recommend a LCD with a suitable range? Budget is around 2k.

    Cheers

Sony HS20 fits the bill. Try a search on this forum.

    Thanks

I just downloaded the owners manual (via http://www.iq.sony.com/srvs/sosdocs/default.asp) & it looks like it fits the bill nicely. Cheapest price I could find is £2,095.95.

Before I buy, any others worthy of consideration?

the older HS10 is still a good machine...... you can get it for alot less than the hs20 which would allow you money for other important accessories.

    Cheers buns,

a quick search could only locate the hs10 for £2069.00 (same as hs20). Have you seen it cheaper anywhere? All savings welcome as I need a new dvd player as well.

Would the ae500 cope with a 6 meter throw?

    good memory Nick, cheers.

The HS10's are described as "graded" on the web-site; I've e-mailed them to enquire what this means.....

the graded ones were what i was referring...... as far as i can gather this means they are almost new but perhaps factory returns that have been fixed or something.
