I am about to reposition the av set up in my front room, and place my Freeview receiver about 4 metres further from the aerial point than it was before. Obviously there is simply not enough cable to reach that length. So I have two choices; either

    1) Add a length of matched co-ax cable (CT100) and maybe a small signal amp near the source to make sure there is no loss, or

2)Plug the Freeview receiver in on the opposite end of the room and run a long Scart cable to my Pio amp!

Would one method be preferable to the other? I suppose the co-ax method would look a bit nicer (and cheaper) than the Scart, but could lead to more loss.

Any tips would be frustratingly received!
