Long interconnects or long speaker cable?

    Question in the title. Not sure which forum to put this in!!

    Any opinons / experiences most welcome!

    When I say long I mean around 5 metres.

    if the interconnect is an optical cable then this is the best option as they suffer a lot less over long distances. If not then I would go for long speaker cable over interconnects - any 'small' distortion picked up by the interconnect will then be amped where as a 'small' distortion in a speaker cable will stay small when it is output
