Coming to London on Saturday for the football at Chelsea. All advice recommends not trying to get all the way to Stamford bridge by car.

Where could we suitably park and leave the car and get there easy by train or tube?

Will be coming down m6 to m40 but could get over to m1 if easier

If you download for free the prepay parking app for Westfield and register your car and a payment card, you could park at Westfield London (Shepherds Bush) for £6 on Saturday and then take a short tube ride down from Shepherds Bush to Fulham Broadway (Central Line to Notting Hill Gate for 2 stops, then change there to the District Line heading to Wimbledon for 4 stops). Or take the London Overground from Shepherds Bush heading to Clapham Junction and get off at Brompton Road. From there you can walk or change to the District Line for one stop to Fulham Broadway.

Sure! Come straight down the M40 and it turns into the A40 close to Northolt. Once you get to the White City/Shepherds Bush junction you're about 2-3 mins from the Westfield car park.

And post-match there are some nice eating options at Westfield, at both the inside food court area and around the outside section, if that type of thing takes your fancy.

Depending on what time you want to arrive on Saturday, I'd allow between 40-60 mins to get from the M25 junction of the M40 to Westfield. Definitely do an advanced check for roadworks as there seem to be a lot going on in and around the Greater London area during the current school holidays.

Definitely helped that it's summer holidays from school right now. My local commutes for work are so much easier, it's unreal!

Are you going as a home fan or away fan? I'm off to see my team on Saturday and whilst we used to mix it up with the Premier League glamour sides, we're a slightly lowly League One side now....AFC Wimbledon :)

Burnley fan mate. Seen my fair share of lower league footbAll. Still can't believe where we've come.

Got mates down there so I'm in corporate on Saturday. Considered train into Euston and making most of free bar
