Another one of those 360 degree Gigapixel images that you can zoom about in, the old one was 80, this one is 320 Gigapixel apparently.

I'm sticking with the 80 gigapixel one, this isn't enough of an upgrade for me. Going to wait until there's at least 2 terrapixels before I swap I think. I want to be able to count the individual worms on a stray dogs anus. Only then will this project not be a complete waste of time.

Well there is a guy picking his nose on the London eye..:D

Seriously though that is pretty amazing the detail that can be picked up from that distance.

A testiment to the quality of the EF 400mm f/2.8L IS II USM lenses and Extender EF 2x III.

I'll keep that in mind for nose picking photo shoots.

Nice work if you can get it.

Apparently the ones of Kate Middletons chesticles were taken with a Canon 600mm and 2x extender.

Canon clearly brand of choice for long distance voyeurism

Must admit, the last time I walked around London with my 400mm I got questioned by the toy cops :( it was even worse in Hamleys when I was taking some pics of the Mrs with the lego harry potter bits and pieces! Looks like the BT tower is the best place for wide angles!

I think that's to be expected to be honest. Anything bigger than a camera phone I'd expect to be hastled in a department store.

Can't say I was that impressed to be honest. Yes, I am impressed by the effort that went into creating it, but the PQ is poor.
Contrast too low. I guess due in part to the atmospheric conditions that day. It looks "misty".

I can't agree with that, zoom in on some of the ground level detail nearer to the tower, it's pretty sharp.

If you're looking at stuff in the city of london area it's about 2 miles away and atmospheric conditions/pollution/heat haze is always going to be a big issue.

You'd have to give it to a photographer though.

I would agree, the detail is amazing. I spent way too long looking for the buzby but found one in the end.

Loved looking into office windows and seeing roof top gardens with chicken coups etc.

Love that is was shot using 7ds over a few weeks

Wasn't the setup made using a remote controlled gimbal? Bit of a shame they took it on such a dull day!!

    That was my point
    Lack of contrast, misty.

It's interesting, but i can't get excited about it.
