    take a look at these, they are well under your budget and to me at least sound pretty decent out of the box. come with PLENTY of speaker cable( i threw alot of it in the bin) ok it aint gonna win awards but its there to start you off. they also come with neat mounting brackets and do look rather good on the wall.
    overall, if you were able to hear them. i think you would take them for 100 notes, when i got them home i was happy enough.
    btw, they are 4 ohm speakers so maybe check your receiver is going to be ok with this.

    The HC40s were in my home for a good...oooo.....fifteen minutes. The they went back in the car and back to RS.

    Sorry, but they are horrible, and really badly deigned. The large standing fronts and rears blow over in the wind!!! Horrible, horrible quality.
