That thing kicks ass. Would be nice if it worked but it probably wont. I would wait till they release one that is designed for the PS3. Shame it wont have force feedback.

Now that Sony and Immersion have settles their differences (about time too), then it is very likely a decent wheel with force feedback will appear at some point.

Since the Ps3 has a HDD, it would be nice if that did patches to add force feedback to the games. You can you the Logitech Wheels with Formula 1 apparently, but without feedback which to my mind will spoil it.
Since the fallout with Immersion Sony seems to have taken a backward step with the Ps3 and Rumble features, only to settle out of court and makeup.
Wouldn't surprise me if they make us buy new wheels when GT5 comes out instead of supporting the older ones.
Would be nice if they sorted it though without a cost
Ps. Was just thinking how great Motorstorm would be with a forcefeedback wheel, especially the incar/bonnet view.

force feedback is a completely different thing to rumble effects.

to my knowledge the legal dispute was over rumble effects, not force feedback.

All depends on how it is implemented. In GT4 for example, I would describe the effects as force feedback instead of rumble.

Badly designed games have rumble for the sake of it. Decent games have it as and when needed.

Might the G25 work but without force feedback or don't we think it will work at all?

I have a Logitech MOMO force wheel and pedals which is usb for the PC however it does work on many PS2 driving games, GT3 was great on it, however stupid sony deliberatly blocked this wheel from working with GT4 so they could sell more Driving Force Pro wheels.

However my wheel is argualbly one of the finest wheel and pedals made and they go for quite a lot on ebay now as there no longer available.

I will be testing mine on the PS3 next week to see if it picks it up.

Yes the logitech g25 wheel works with the ps3.
GT PROLOGUE fully supports it with full force feedback and you can even use the clutch.
If you search the forum you will see loads of people use it to play prologue.
It also works with F1 with force feedback as they released a patch to enable it.

Be careful with Ebay as a lot of the one's being offered on there are not UK ones and will require an adaptor for our sockets.................this may void any warranty that you get if they are not designed to be used with our sockets !!!

    Just a thought.

I'm pretty sure it does work with the PS3. We were hoping to get one for the Bristol Show, but the stock didn't arrive in time. We had a different model in the end which worked just fine.
I would give tgrav.com a call and find out specifically. Let us know here for sure.

It definately works with the PS3. I have the G25 and the playseat. Got it just after Christmas.

I have used it on GT HD, Pro Street and other games.

    It's wicked !!

    Thanks Stuart

It definitely works with PS3. We now have them in stock. There has been a massive shortage in the UK, but we had some airfreighted to. Realy shame it wasn't in time for the show

    Thanks

Just read loads of reviews & comparrisons to the GT Pro and decided to take the plunge with the G25. Hope I can work out how to get it working in my Chinese version of GT5P off the HK store. Loving it with a dual force pad so should be amazing with the wheel!!!

Seeing as Mat of TGRAV.com said they had some in stock I saw that the price was around £156 including delivery but found a great code on hotdeals that takes 10% off (Sorry Mat ;) ) So works out at around £141 which is easily the cheapest place I've seen them, even ebay once you add delivery!!!

If your listening Mat, would really appreciate posting tomorrow for a Saturday delivery:smashin: :rotfl: :lease:

Now to look into best option to use it in a wife-friendly set-up

Just a thought, I hope this is UK compatible & not a US version import! (read about imports not having correct power supply or something)

    .
    .
    .
Does anybody know if you can use without the gearstick attached when using automatic or wheel gear change levers? Also, whats release date for UK version of GT5P

Looked there first, but as you say, no stock or eta. But still cheaper at TGRAV with code :smashin: Most places showing as no stock at the moment without prices at £160-£200
