Logitech G25 R.I.P?

After trying for ages to get through to Logitech I was informed that stock should be sent to stockists soon. Most of the stockists I have spoken to tell me that Logitech has discontinued the wheel in favour of the seemingly poorer(IMO) G27.

Anyone confirm this?
