Hi I am hoping someone can help me.

I have a new(ish) house that was fitted with a loft distribution unit. I have my current Sky+ box running through this unit which enables me to have my TV located on a different wall in the lounge (as all of the wiring is run through the walls to the distribution unit).

My Sky+ box has stopped working (critical fault apparently). Sky have sent me a Sky+HD wifi enabled box which doesnt have an Aerial port. I have then read multiple forums and found that this is common, I require an I/O link.

Can anyone tell me if this I/O link will work? I'm hoping that I will literally just replace the wires from the back of my old Sky+ box with the wires that go into the new Sky+HD box?

Also, I'm also assuming that I will have to forgo the HD as I can't run a HDMI cable from the SKY+HD box to the TV?

In theory that is what should happen as the IO link will send the signal via the coax cable like before.

Yes without a HDMI connection between your skybox and the TV you will not get HD TV.
