Just to let you know that the newest LCD serie Xelos "A" (A26, A32, A 37) are built around a Sharp panel. These models have the aestitic of the Xelos line minus the signal box.
The "A26" uses the Sharp LC26GD4L, and the "A32" the Sharp LC32GD4L.

They are like the Xelos SL but they haven´t the possibility of the upgrades of the latter, they are not "mediaplus" chassis". But they will have a better price :D

Actually Sharp own a share in Loewe. The Loewe factory actually makes/will make the larger Sharp displays. The Sharp panel is used in the existing LCD range of Loewe TV's.

The current range of Xelos SL and Spheros use the 2550 Media plus chassis, the A series use a 2600 and 2650 (to be introduced later this year) chassis.

If as Vasco says, the models are similar to forthcoming Sharp LCxxGD4L models, then it would be likely that HDMI will be included on the Sharp models at that point.

This is not to say that the Sharp and Loewe models are the same, whilst there may be come commonality in design principles, the Loewe and Sharp electronics and software are quite different. Having viewed some models of the A series at the Bristol Show, the new 2600 software is much more modern looking but it is still definately Loewe software rather than Sharp.

Loewe displays can be throught of a premium brand, like BMW, Miele. Whilst Sharp could be thought of as Bosch, VW...

So the 'Sharp G Series Appretiation Thread' show really be the 'Loewe Appreciation Thread'!
