I'm thinking of buying a new 32" set and been looking at the Loewe Vitros 6381ZW. It is expensive but I have seen the picture in Debenhams and its fantastic. And it looks amazing (quite imporatnat when the thing is sitting in my living room).

But is it worth paying the extra money over a Sony/Philips/Panasonic?

Threads below suggest Sony quality problems and they are also, spec for spec, a bit more pricey than the other two makes. But there are so many out there I have difficulty believing that there is really much between any of them....

My Vitros 6381ZW powers down with a curtains effect (like curtains in the cinema closing) with the TV finally switching off when the whole of the image has been blacked out.

Sad I know, but it impressed me !

All great stuff, but several hundred quid for a curtain effect power down might not persuade the wife that the money shouldn't go on a new carpet..................

I got my Loewe Aconda after lots of searching. Never seen better. Vitros seems in all identic as far as hardware is concerned. Should be as good. If you want you may have a look at my thread "My ISF Calibration experience". I hope it helps.
