Are you saying the soc is already included in the set and requires only a software update to activate?
Thanks
Yes, this does sound like an interesting prospect and not quite as expensive as I'd thought it would be. I'm seriously thinking of upgrading to an E6 next month and would be interested to see the reviews for this set and whether it does perform notably better than the current E6/G6.
On a related note, I still don't know why manufacturers can't give us a panel-only option for these high-end screens (much like the old Panasonic professional plasma range). I haven't used the speakers on any TV I've owned for more than 10 years now and yet, since I upgraded my PW6 many years back, I've been forced to pay for them every time.
Surely there can't be anyone who is spending upwards of ÂŁ5-6k on a TV that doesn't have a full outboard sound solution?? Maybe it's just me but I would have thought they would sell more of the non-speaker sets at this price point than those with speakers? Anyway, rant over.
Shame, I would have loved to see what a proper review of this set looks like. Hopefully Loewe will recognise that they'll sell a good few more sets if it gets a glowing review from AVF...Unfortunately, Loewe are less than forthcoming when it comes to review samples
but the negative points that very pricey!
I had a Loewe TV back in the late 90's - it was a brilliant bit of kit (and cost me ÂŁ2500 if I recall correctly!)
I had a Loewe 32 inch - it was a fantastic set
Good to see Lowe getting into OLED, we need high quality manufacturers around.
how much of the set will they make ?
as in I thought with the Loewes of CRT days they used Toshiba and Pioneer tubes ? not sure whose electronics around them
So did I. A planus.
Was the last CRT I had. Great TV
Just ordered one.
WARNING:
The price quoted in the press release is going up after the first batch due to the Euro
55" will be going from ÂŁ4499 to ÂŁ4999.
Where did you order from Steve.
Time you got in with the big boys and stopped buying the portable sizes.
Us thickos just sit too close.
