As you may have seen in previous posts I am about to buy a 32" Aventos from tvandvidoedirect.

I would prefer a stand to match the telly but am not too sure of the new stand loewe are shipping with it. Has anyone actually seen it, and if so could they give me an unbiased opinion.

Is it really worth paying an extra 100 quid for.

Alternatively can anyone recommend a decent stand/unit which would complement the TV. It is to fit in a corner.

    Cheers

I have the stand with my lovely Aventos sitting on top.

It is a bit wobbly, but after another go with the screwdriver it is now OK. The gap between the shelves is 18.5 cm so there is enough room. As to wheather it is worth £100, my wife liked it so I got the tv I wanted, so for me it was!!

    Thanks.

Was the wobbling a design issue or lack of DIY skills.

    Cheers

Not a lack of my skills, but of the people that put it together. I bought the tv from a local dealer who delivered and set up the tv. They just did not tighten all the screws up!!!

I could have got the tv cheaper from the internet, but I went for customer service. I had a problem with the first set delivered where the sides of the screen kept flickering. The company went stright back to their showroom, picked up their display set and let me have that one for a few days untill the replacement arrived.

The replacement came today and it is fantastic.

It does, in all honesty look incredibly cheap and tacky IMO, unfortunate but true. I would look into putting the £100 into something more stylish.

    Cheers, Brock.

How about the "Rack 2" ? It was designed in conjunction with the Mimo, but it is suitable for most of Loewe's range of 32" sets. I've just gotten one with my new Mimo 32 and it looks the D's B's!!! :D

It's a sort of pole on a round base, it's got a kind of contemporary yet retro look about it, check it out here

BTW you'd be surprised at the cables that the pole can hide, it's got holes in the top and bottom at the back big enough to get an IXOS metal headed scart lead through. :smoke:

I have had a look at the S O stands, but I need the TV to go in a corner and am not sure that they will fit too well. I have had a look at some alphason stands from HIFI4LESS. The one below is a similar size stand to the one that comes with the Loewe but looks better quality.

    http://www.hifi4less.com/Alphason_TV3_3G.htm

According to the Alphason Website this stand is not suitable for TV's over 28" although the weight limit would not be exceeded.

Has anyone seen any other stands suitable for the Aventos in a corner. I dont want the front any wider than about 80 ish centimetres and preferable the back narrower?
