Loewe announce OLED TV - bild 7.

I also had problems using HDMI 4 - random drop outs and flashing - moving to HDMI 1 resolved that issue. I'm not sure if @RayP has had any issues in that regard. I think he uses that output with his Oppo for DV playback.

I do and still get them on occasions. I think it's down to a HDMI handshake issue. But I just turn off the TV and on again and it solves it. Difficult to give a precise set of instructions for others to reproduce it so I live with it.

Are those input lag values correct? (source hdtvtest) Its a definate deal breaker if they are.

I think they are - sure they've been reported previously in here. Thankfully I don't game, so it's never been an issue for me.

New to the thread, i strated reading from the beggining but that would have been my Sunday gone [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] So thought I would just ask.

From what I ve read the LG seems like a better and cheaper set so misses permitting I think I will go that way. Thanks too those that responded.

The way they're set up in shops makes it unlikely you'll see them at their best anyway.

In a high street chain store your would be right, but I would have thought a specialist shop selling such a high end Tv would have a properly lit demo room to show the Tv at its best rather like the listening rooms in a good Hifi store.

One person's poor experience doesn't mean the set has serious issues

I was not saying the set had issues I was saying that the dealer could have done rather more to solve the issues the guy had

LOL I know, it would be quite a read - I wasn't suggesting that you do, just confirming that it had been reported as high.

Good luck with the LG, I have an E6 in the bedroom and it's a quality set/picture, I'm sure you'll enjoy which ever one you choose to get - misses permitting ;)

Lee, I'm sure you'll be fine with the LG. The series 7 sets are meant to be better than last years 6.

Richer Sounds have both Loewe and LG so if there's one close to you it's worth having a trial.

Yes it will but they may not have both TVs making a comparison difficult.

I'm sure some of them will have - guess that would depend on the dealership - The Movie Rooms and Homesound in Edinburgh, definitely have controlled viewing environments.

Lee is in London so he'll be spoilt for choice. :D

Good shout Ray.

EDIT - They also stock Sony so he could enjoy a nice little 3-way ;)o_O

Good point

I have had a E6 now using a C7 both 55in and on broadcast low bit rate HD stuff from both The BBC & ITV the C7 gives a much better picture than the E6 did far less noise in dark parts of the picture

We just spent the holiday watching the new Poldark again from the start of Srs 1 all taken from Satellite
On the E6 the picture noise did spoil the picture a lot, on the c7 it was much reduced.

A side by side demo of a LG series 7 and a Loewe would be interesting

If he hints the Loewe is his preferred option they might even chuck in a cup of tea and a few custard creams. :rotfl:

Thanks guys changed the sky to 1080 and 3d works watching x men then I will change it back to uhd 10 bit

Now then lads, I think/hope I could be missing something here......should my Loewe 3D Blue Ray Player switch the Bild7 onto the correct HDMI input?
I read that the Virgin Tivo won't play ball but I'm sure the DVD player should, after all my Panasonic set-up used to do this 10 years ago!
I've tried 'compatibility' mode and the vanilla mode......so either I missed something else it ain't going to happen....Anyone?

Unless there's some magic option on the TV that I've missed I think you're out of luck. If you have a programmable remote I have the IR codes for each HDMI input which would ease your frustration perhaps?

Thanks Ray. That all seems like a poor show, you'd think other (expensive*) Loewe products would link to each other.

According to the 3D Player handbook it's supposed to switch the TV if connected by HDMI....but it doesn't.

An aside; The 'expensive' Loewe 3D player turns out to be a cheap LG in disguise.....how do I know? The bugger went wrong at the weekend, sounded like a mini grinding wheel having a hard time......thought I'd just take a inside look myself. Turned out to be quite simple to fix, part of the disc balancing mechanism had let go, a bit of superglue and all was well again.

Back in the days of relatively simple HDMI 1.4 it was probably easy to do a handshake. But 2.0 and above has complicated things a lot as you have found out.

Incidentally, as a man of impeccable taste I'm surprised you haven't opted for the Oppo UHD player.

Now they are expensive.......
But you get gapless music playback as well as a superb 4K player very well built. Perfect partner for a quality TV. ;)

Hi
Oppo uhd 203 and 205 are the only blue ray players for a Loewe bild on market at this time if you went the best TV then you will need best Blu Ray player . Especially if you want to watch Dolby Vision .

I'm sure the Oppo's look great lads but my DVD viewing isn't that demanding.......in fact, and you may laugh, I'm enjoying watching some classic stuff from my collection....the other night when the Loewe 3D Player went wrong I was watching 'Kind Hearts and Coronets' thinking how good the picture quality was, considering the humble source.

Each to their own but I do it odd given how much you have spent on the TV.

After the Loewe had refused to play my disc I was looking in Currys yesterday at the Panasonic 4K UHD but now I've fixed it I can wait a while, those Oppo's might come down a little?
