Comet say that this (http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/html/cache/453_179523.html) does prog scan but the Loewe website makes no mention of a component input.

Can anyone confirm that this has at least 1 x scart RGB and both PAL & NTSC component prog scan ?

Any other comments would be appreciated, this set looks quite interesting

    ta

The tv does have RGB scart, but it doesn't accept PAL or NTSC progressive signals (unless Loewe have recently updated their sets and kept it to themselves).

Loewe tv's do have component inputs, but they accept it through their scart sockets rather than the usual three phono sockets.

All PAL signals are displayed as 100hz, and NTSC signals are converted to progressive scan by the tv's own line doubler.

There is a VGA upgrade available for this tv, which will accept progressive signals from an external source, but as virtually no dvd players output progressive via VGA, it's really only practical to feed it signals from a PC, which for most users is a non starter for home theatre use.
