I own a Loewe 6381 Vitros, and since I bought it I have been running my Pioneer 535 through QED Sqart in RGB mode. AV3 set manually to RGB mode (some reason AV3 doesn't automatically detect RGB). Anyway, I've always found the picture a bit soft. For a change I tried the DVD player in S-Video mode (with TV set accordingly), picture seems a fair amount sharper, with not quite so good colour depth.

Has anyone else noticed this ? I did hear a rumour that this chassis may convert internally from RGB to S-Video, but I thought that was only the case with the older chassis than the 2400.

RGB from the 535 on any other TV I've owned has always been a fair amount sharper than in S-Video mode. Its almost as if the picture is over saturated in RGB mode.

    Anyone any ideas ?

    Thanks,

    Regards, Buckster.
