Right I've flashed the firmware on the DVD drive with a supposed region free hack. Driveinfo tells me it has no region protection which is good. However the drive is locked as Region 1 and won't let me change it.

    Any ideas? Help.

Are you using DVDregionkiller or DVDGenie? They need to be there to report a region back to Windows (as I understand it  )

I just fixed it. I used DVDGenie to reset the Windows 2000 region thing. Works now.

    Cheers RichardH.
