I've got a Goodmans TV/Video Combi. It's recently (should I say after being fiddled with by my young son) been presenting a 'Blue Screen' asking for 'the unlock code'. Naturally, I can not find the fecking instruction booklet and am now stuck! Can anyone supply me with 'the factory setting code' for my model please..?
    :lease:

What exactly does the message on-screen say?
Can you call up the menu?

    It says:

    " Set locked.

    Enter number to unlock "

    (then there are 4 - - - - to enter digits in.)

Nope, I can't asscess the menu (or indeed go to any other screen).

    :(

    Try...
Switch on at mains switch while holding the volume down on the front controls.

This model uses a Daewoo chassis and to clear the childlock you need to switch the set on then switch to standby then press...

    Normal--Av--Sleep--Clear--Standby.
You have 5 seconds to press these 5 buttons, but they are in a line on
the remote, and so quite easy.

This puts the set in service mode...once in this mode do not touch anything other than switch the set off to standby and then switch back on...this resets the lock.

    SUCCESS!!

I tried Jaycee's method (only because I couldn't physically do Lynx's method by myself). The TV is now restored to full working order and my lad is a happy bunny again.

Thank you both ever so much for your replies.

    I truly am grateful.
