Location services on my iPhone 6 are very inaccurate when using 3g and 4g. This is an issue across all apps.

I have tried backing up the phone and restoring from backup, turning location services off and on, backing up important data eg contacts and then completely wiping the phone and setting it up as new. The last thing worked briefly but location services has now stopped working.

Has anyone had this issue and is there a way to fix it?? I just started working for deliveroo so cant work until it's sorted :(

    Cheers

    I’m assuming this isn’t a wind up...

If you have reset the phone, then there’s one reason why locations services shouldn’t work.

As for accuracy, I assume you are using it in a car/van? GPS needs to ‘see’ the sky, so you need to mount it under the windscreen.

it sounds ridiculous I know but its not a windup. I'm using the phone on a bike and it's an issue when I'm on foot so it's not that the GPS can't see the sky.

Thank you for your input though.

Enabling Wi-fi can improve location services as well. Even when you aren’t connected to anything.

Only other reason I can think off is that you are in vinciti of some government installation that is scrambling it. Besides the obvious of tall buildings.

Calibrate the compass and calibrate the GPS in Google maps?

Tried toggling data off and on when it happens? Likewise toggle GPS off and on?

You do not say where this happens and your second post refers to both cycling and on foot. Could simply be the particular location and/or your network in combination
