I have a dedicated HiFi setup:- Arcam A85, Cyrus CD7Q and Quad 11l speaker. I am very happy with the sound ther system produces but plan to go surround. I am planning to extend the existing system with the Quad centre, or Wharfedale Evo Centre which I understand uses similair drivers, but need some help on the rears. I haven;t room for Quads and was thinking of a pair of sattelites or perhaps some BiPolars (Dipoles?) to spread the sound around at the back. Any suggestions for a decent match.

I also am not sure about speaker placement either. My room is about 14 foot by 12 foot and the tv is in the corner with the main sofa opposite on the longest wall. The quads are about 50cm from the tv on either side but am not sure whether the rears should. Will the location be dependent on my choice of sattelite/dipole?

    Thanks for any observations.

    Paul
