Hi it’s IqbalM, the same Iqbal_M who did the Local Council By Elections thread on the Digital Spy Politics forum. Since that forum has now closed, and seen of people there say that they would now post on this forum. So, I thought continue the Local Council By Elections thread here.

  • Midlothian East ward In Midlothian Scottish Unitary Authority (1 seat) (Scottish National Party resigned) (5 Candidates: Con, Lab, Lib Dem, Sco Green, SNP)*
  • Almond & Earn ward in Perth & Kinross Scottish Unitary Authority (1 seat) (Scottish National Party died) (4 Candidates: Con, Lab, Lib Dem, SNP)*

Glad to see this thread and thanks for the way you take care of it.:)

Hopefully we'll soon be back to the days when FMs local knowledge was helpful in explaining some of the unusual/unexpected results...and the sometimes "murky" reasons for by-elections being necessary.😉

this by election really shows how misleading it is to talk about gains in by elections in multi member constituencies

Thanks for posting this thread, but I'm not sure what's going on. Is this predicted results, or have they voted already? I thought the results were supposed to be in May?

These are by-election results, outside the normal electoral cycle.
