I've finally connected up my Yamaha DSPA5, bought months ago - been waiting for delivery of a bigger TV cabinet.

I get a loud clicking out of the centre speaker when switching TV channels with the Yamaha remote - it is annoying and can not be doing the speaker any good.

    Connection is as follows.

    Aerial co-ax into Philips VCR.
SCART - phono from VCR to amp.
phono - scart from amp to TV.

    Any suggestions ?

Try connecting phono - phono from VCR to amp / phono to phono
from TV to amp, you should have no problems with those connections. Hope this helps.

Thanks Bob, however I'm not sure I understand.

I don't have phono outputs on the VCR or phono inputs on the TV (except for the aerial of course).

    Dennis.

To try and help you further i need to know a bit more, plus other members may be able to to post suggestions.

    1) Brand of TV. .
    2) What AV connection have you used for TV, AV1 or AV2
    3) Brand of VCR.
    4) Is your VCR connected to your TV via scart,
    5) Disconnect scart and phono`s from VCR/AMP do you still have the crackling noise from centre.
    6) Replace scart to VCR and remove scart from TV is the noise still there.
    7) On your TV can you access an AV set up menu, if so please list options,
