    Hi,

I have just bought my first house and want to make my living room into a home cinema using my existing equipment for the cinema i have in my bedroom

Setup - 92" electric screen, Benq 1070+, HK receiver, 5.1 boston acoustics xs

My plan is to put a wood burner in the chimney, mount my 49" samsung tv and then have my projector screen sit infront of the samsung tv when i want a movie night etc

Also, what is the best way you hide speaker cables without having to re-plaster?

    Liam

To answer your last question, D-line trunking is an option to hide your cables.

To get wire from my surrounds a short distance to a corner then run it down to the trunking, I’ve held it onto the wall with slivers of double-sided heavy duty tape, then caulked it top and bottom to blend edges, then hit with wall paint to hide.

Some might not like this, but it is pretty much the cheapest way to stop cable on the wall from drawing the eye. And it’s not permanent if anything changes.
