Hi all,

Is there a way of capturing a live video stream broadcast on a Mac? (Or windows as I could install windows 10 on it if that’s the best way)

I watch a weekly live webinar about finance and sometimes get distracted by someone else in the room or the phone ringing etc. So I’d like to record the live stream so I can go back and rewatch bits I’ve missed.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

Whether you can capture the stream directly depends on how it's delivered (what software you use to connect to it).

You can get general screen recording software that'll record what's on your display which sounds like it'd do here as you're not likely to be bothered about controls and so on appearing in the picture. I haven't had to use it for a few years but I know software such as OBS is popular for gaming, and if you have an AMD or nVidia graphics card they both provide software (ReLive and Shadowplay).

That may not work if it uses copy protection measures though.

I’ve tried OBS and it seems like it will do the trick. I just need to sit down and go through some tutorials. Thanks for the advice.
