When's the 80's version with Rick Moranis and Steve Martin getting a release, the only one I can find is the original 60s one which I've not seen. Not even sure I like it... just curious.

I know that this is available on R1 but Play doesn't have it.

Did a search on Amazon and it came up there.

I've had the R1 for months. I believe A&B Sound sell it @ www.absound.ca and it'll be cheaper than Amazon I bet :)

Not a bad transfer either - I always sing along with all the tunes while watching it. It's my version of the Rocky Horror Show :D

Coincidentally, this arrived on my door mat from DVDBoxOffice this morning - though it took about 6 weeks from order to shipping due to being out-of-stock. Really looking forward to watching it again - it's been ages...

Try www.dvdsoon.com - they have it for £8.50 (plus postage). I have used them loads and found them to be very good.

I'm obviously not researching hard enough, it's already out, everyone but play seem to stock it and loads of people here already have it! doh!

Another one to order this week. That's the problem when there's very few good new releases... you start to look at the back catalogue stuff you want.

I have a similar sort of problem James but I'm that busy trying to catch up on the back stuff that by the time I come to buy the new release's they have slipped into the back catagory. Bit catch22. I need to win the lottery then I can spend, spend, spend

    Hi Folks,

If I remember correctly, wasn't the orginal R1 release pulled, due to including some extra material - in the form of the Alternate Original Ending - that hadn't been approved (either by the cast or the director) or some such?

If it was, then that may be why it has taken so long for some of you to get hold of it. However, it looks as though the film has been rereleased, but without this material. Will we ever see the Alternate Original Ending again?!

Having said that, I would love to get hold of a copy, but I do have the CD soundtrack, which is fantastic! :D

"They say the meek shall inherit. You know the book doesn't lie. It's not a question of merit. It's demand and supply. If we make a fortune, we share it. But for now, it's bye-bye. So long!"

Any chance of a double-disc R1 or R2 release, with a DTS soundtrack at all?

    Pooch

Yes, there is no alternate ending on the new R1. There is some text in the production notes that discusses it though.
