Not the ménage à trois , you'd hope to hear of from this.
You may be overestimating the average Sky viewer here. Although, the news that incest porn and the like has also been on the rise during the pandemic may have hardened viewers expectations.
Thanks for the steer away.

Thanks Cas for doing the donkey work.
I’d recorded this as the trailer looked ... well, like the production cost a few pennies, think I’ll free up the disk space ..

Simon get the Columbia classics, you get this..

Yeah, don't mention Columbia.

Honestly, I chose to review this myself. Basically I was semi- looking forward to it, started watching it, realised it was awful within about 20 minutes, and forced myself painfully to the limp end of the season, deciding thereafter that I didn't want anything more to do with it.

Then... I realised that for the sake of mankind I needed to warn others.

With the recent Gangs of London and Chernobyl you’d be forgiven to think Sky productions had finally upped their game...

Cas, thanks for being our Gandalf!

I was semi or I had a semi?!

Fnarr.

I'll avoid this then.

I admire Sky for financing something a little off kilter - and given the past record of Warp Films, there probably was an expectation this could have been a low key winner but despite a few nice visuals it really doesn’t hang together very well and seems a little all over the place... suspect it’s just going to have its run through August and quietly get forgotten about, banished to the void of Sky Box Sets.

Was going to give this a look but had some major reservations after seeing the promo’s on Sky. And as soon as I saw Cas review pop up with Love Island mentioned in bold letters I knew it was a Pile of poop...:rotfl::eek:💩

Having now got through all of it I will actually say the last 25 minutes or so of the final episode was surprisingly tense! But that alone doesn’t still make up for the 4/5 hours before that seemed to be about nothing.

Having read the books some years ago, I thought I'd see how it transitioned to film. Dire, absolutely dire. Truly terrible.

To be honest, I read your review before I watched it. And because of it, I was sorely tempted to give viewing it a miss. But I had to watch it, just to ascertain the make of the roadster car- yes, I confirmed it as a Jaguar XK120. That done, I was finished with it.

What a waste of everything needed to bring it to screen. Normally, I'd say, send it straight to landfill, but it's that bad, I think it would taint water supplies for millennia.

Wife wanted to watch it. Thirty minutes into the first episode told to turn it off. Absolute rubbish.
