Hi,

Is there a little freeware type util out there which can simply display what's coming in on the capture port in a resizeable, moveable window?

That's all I want it to do, no other actual capture bells and whistles - I have Virtual Dub for that.

I just thought it'd be nice to be able to watch music videos while I fiddle with other parts of the HTPC.

Cheers,
A.

Dscaler doubles up nicely for me for watching tv whilst messing about with the computer, and you can resize the window to whatever size you want.

Thanks! Will give it a go -

Actually, quick question, any idea if DScaler will mess up the custom drivers I have installed for the BT-878 on my PCTV card, or interfere with VirtualDub in any way?

Its taken me a while to get all that stuff working well, I'd be unhappy if summit unpicked all the good work! :)

Cheers,
A.

Dscalers a fairly clean application, and uses your existing drivers for display and capturing, so it shouldn't.

That said, might be an idea to create a restore point if you're using XP
