From where the video starts to where the guy goes to pick up that litter it looks like, though can't be confirmed, that he dropped it and kept on walking for a short bit before he was pulled up. If that was accurate he caused an offence and is required to give his name and details.

It may be a private company but the people handing out fines can be classed as an authorised officer.

If I had my way, I'd have littering scum hanged. But I'm not a politician, so you can sleep easy.

Only unreasonable person in that video is the buffoon filming it. I just don't see the need to be so confrontational and rude - other than to hide the fact he has a very limited understanding of the law. And those police officers were incredibly laid back and professional dispite his ridiculous assertions.

    Still working here.

Although all you're missing judging by the first couple of minutes I could be bothered to watch is some complete dick. "I'm filming for my own protection" (& luckily I just happen to have professional gear with me". Tosser...

The moral to the story is to not drop litter full stop.

Smokers are one of the worst offenders, just casually dropping a cigarette butt out of the window and they think they're not breaking the law.

I don't have a problem with private companies profiting from fining people.

People need to start being a little more law abiding. They should start fining people for parking in disabled spaces or parent and baby when they're not entitled to park there. Get the message out that this is wrong.

Thanks for saving me the effort of watching it. I had automatically assumed it would be such without even opening it :)

People that litter just confirm their low IQ when they do so. It's so disrespectful to your country and your fellow citizen and humanity on the whole. Children will try to do it at nursery school age for example as they don't know any better until a parent/teacher ensures it's discouraged. You see litter flying out of a chav mobile sometimes. You know the ones where the driver's chair is so far back he looks like he's sitting in the back?
