I imagine it probably does exist already somewhere, but is there a list of official blu-ray releases that aren't sold in the UK, but are either Region Free or Region B (released in Australia, for example).

Would be hugely interested in such a list, would give me an idea of which imports to look out for.

The Howling
Vampire Circus
Lake Mungo
The Hitcher (remake)
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Death Race 2000
Open Range
The Mechanic (Bronson)
Mr Majestyk (Bronson)
Violent City (Bronson)
Burning Bright
The Vampire Lovers
The Holding
Strange Days
Future World

Just a few off the top of my head!

The ones I have imported and aren't available:

Crank (Already mentioned. I ended up deciding Australian was the best one to get, though I can't quite remember why now)

Dr Horrible's Sing-along Blog (From America)

Breaking Bad Seasons 1-3 (arrived today. Region B is retailer Exclusive to JB Hifi in Australia.)

Man with golden gun and license to kill. Germany and France.

Appleseed - Germany.

Moa's last dancer - Australia

Chuck series 1to 4. US

Big bang theory series 3 & 4. US

American Psycho. The Australian version is the one to go for.

+1 on that. Managed to pick up mine at a reasonable price but I hear the Aussie postage rates have gone up quite a bit recently?

Heres another one -

Three Days of the Condor. Ive got the Nordic one. Its a nice Studio Canal release, like a digi book thing with a slip cover as well. Lots of extras too.

Where is The Howling available? Is the A/V quality up to scratch?

Rubber me, just picked it up for £10.50 (french release):)

Yes Scott, All the same Studio Canal job. I was quite impressed with the AV. The reds are a little pink in the opening scenes with Dee Wallace at the porn store but apart from that it's tip-top. I've got the German Import and none of the extras from the DVD are on it so best to hang on to that.

The UK release of The Howling had one of the bonus features banned by the BBFC .
IIRC it was an uncut version of some porn sequence that you only see a clip of in the movie.

I did read that its not included on the German release either.

Is it on the Australian release?

No, The only release it has been on was the German DVD, You can view the whole sequence that was recorded in Joe Dante's garage...

The French release (Hurlements) has the following special features:

The Werewolf Effect

Trailer

Teaser

Mine has shipped from the UK today so hopefully have it soon. Love this movie. Shame every sequel sucked!

I have a Spanish Blu release of The Howling and I guess the tranfer is the same for all European countries. I think it looks rather poor, mainly because colours have been changed quite drastically. The film is full of oversaturated reds, which have really been dialed down. When Dee Wallace goes into the Sex Shop for her 'date' with Edie, what used to be strong reds now reads as a pale peach colour.

The Werewolf Effect is on the German release too, Not worth looking at, 2 French men discussing werrewolf FX...dire!

Must admit to seldom ever watching extra features- and this disc will continue that trend. It's the movie that counts for me, and this one is a classic!

Agreed Mate, Donnagio's score sounds pretty good on the 2.0 DTS HD track. Might give this another spin over the next few days ;)

Well it arrived this morning:). It's the missus works night out tonight so if Madam jr obliges and goes to bed at a reasonable hour it's going on tonight. Haven't seen this for ages.

Bump, anyone know any more?

Also to add:

Trick r Treat
Groundhog Day
Insomnia
South Park:Bigger, Longer, Uncut

Are there any other Oz discs that are worth picking up? I've got casino royale, die hard 3 and american psycho - any others?
