Lip Synch with a plasma panel

Has anyone used a Yamhaha AV receiver RX-V557 or RX-V657 with a plasma panel to deal with lip synch issue and was it easy to set up. Did it deal with the problem successfully?

rbkenil - I have a RX-V457 which has this facility but so far I've had no reason to use it. Are you experiencing Lip Synch problems or are you just curious?

I have a yammy with audio delay and it couldn't be simpler to use....

have experienced lip synch problems when using satellite receiver through AV Amp when using CRT. So anticipate same issue with plasma unit. Have seen Yamaha amps with lip synch functionality at a reasonable price and wondered if it worked.

I'm about to invest in a yammy for my hitachi. cheap and easy. i find it has worse lip sinc compared with my mates panny

I picked up my 457 for peanuts cos it was Titanium instead of black (which was £100 more expensive). I also bought it anticipating lip synch issues, however, when I discussed this with AV-Sales when I ordered the screen, they said lip synch was not really a problem for the majority of folks. And they were right...not a problem provides a good safety net though.
