Lip Sync Problems

I have a JVC HV32P37. It's a magnificent TV, but there's one annoying thing: video is slightly out of sync with the audio. This happens on RF, as well as on RGB. Also: on DVDs my external amp and the TV's speakers are in perfect sync, but the image on the screen lags a bit. Sometimes it's more noticeable than other times, but that's probably just my perception.

I'm not getting anywhere on the HV32P37's thread, so I'll rephrase the question in a more general manner: what can be a possible cause of lip sync problems? Is this something that can be fixed easily (i.e. in the service menu) or does the set need to go back to JVC? Are lip sync problems common on CRTs?

Probably due to inadequate processing power when doing image enhancements or 100Hz. Can you switch it to a pure 50Hz mode or at least switch off all the image enhancement technology?

Can't switch to 50hz, but switching off all image enhancement technology doesn't make one bit of difference
