Anyone got any comments on Lip-sync problems on DVDs.

Since the installation of my home cinema and use of progressive scan (Denon DV2200 / Panny PTAE500) there has always been some occasional delays but only noticable if you were looking for it, and so didn't spoil the enjoyment.

However I've just got the special edition of Aliens and in one scene, where Ripley's helping out with the prep prior to the drop to LV-426 (particularily looking at the loader's feet on the steel deck plate) it must be out by a half a second and really jars. Most of the rest of the film is fine.

If it is purely a progressive scan issue then a iScan (with digital audio delay) or such should cure it (when I've got a spare £1k). But if this is due to DVD mixing and it varies through the movie what can you do?
