Hi there,
I work for Lion Television and joined the forum to ask people to get in touch with their DIY disaster stories. We are offering up to £40,000 to possibly help you get moving again. If you have had problems and are living in a home fraught with DIY mistakes please get in touch now!
You can reply here, I will check back, or email [email protected] with your contact details and I will call you to have a chat. Otherwise, call us on 0141 331 4983. I hope to hear from some of you.
Many thanks,
Pauline

Or alternatively you are offering a huge insentive for people to come across as complete cocks on TV because of their 'DIY disaster'.
Where as the format of DIY SOS et al seems to highlight the plight of people that have had a personal tragedy and their house has (quite rightly) taken a lower priority.
You could call the program 'LOL DIY FAIL OMG'. Or 'ermahgerd hurs furlin durn' :D

Hello Hillskill and Balidey,

Thanks for your replies. If this isn't of interest to you then that's fine. We're looking to hear from people who have hit a wall with their own DIY and are offering a large sum for people to turn things around so it will be of interest to some people who browse public forums and are facing these issues at the moment.

Thanks, Pauline

**cough lazy researcher cough**

My first thought was to wonder if Pauline really was Pauline or perhaps some other gender. Blokes are much more likely to admit their failings to a sympathetic female ear that a male, who could use the information in the same way a lion uses any sign of weakness in other male members of the pride to establish dominance and cast them out of the pride.

So beware, Pauline may be not quite what 'she' seems and in fact it is just a ploy to oust you from the pride (in this case, the GC 'crew') and slowly establish dominace over all of us, one by one.

And what is more, I would go as far to offer the possibility that Pauline is in fact Ian J, returning to win back his dominant position in the pride and lord it over us (those who are left) once again.

So, I think we should be told.

But back on topic, I know how to use super-glue and cover up my DIY disasters, thank you.

Come on, DIY shows have been done to death.
What you need is a new take on the genre. Something thats not been done before.
You need.....

CELEBRITY DIY DISASTORS... ON ICE... FACTOR.

Christopher Biggins, knocking down a load bearing wall in his own house. Viewers get to vote whether he uses a sledge hammer or a toffee hammer. Premium rate calls for voting, naturally.
Simon Cowell can then decide whether you give him 'upto' :smashin: 40 grand to repair his house, or whether his chosen charity gets the 'upto' :smashin: 40 grand.
You will need a lovely co-host. I believe the selection process for this has been voted on AVForums for some time now in the Gentlemen's Club section.

Apologies if you think we are being flippant. I understand you have to get your victi.... err contestants some how, but I'm not sure this forum, or atleast the current demographic are the best target.
