I would recommend the additional "Home Theatre Mix" soundtrack to anyone as absolute reference quality.
Vocal timbre and clarity are simply sublime.

Is this Disney mix Dolby Digital?- just slightly different on the panning/sound/reverb etc?

    It is DD 5.1

Recommend listening to a section where James Earl Jones is speaking in PL2 (analogue) then original 5.1 DD mix and then the new mix.
The new mix is clean, sharp and dynamically potent by comparison, this should not be confused with the slight increase in gain between the two.
THX2 just works wonders with this sort of thing, i have to say that whilst once a cynic i am applying THX2 to pretty much all 5.1 DD soundtracks (obviously keeping THX-EX where applicable)

    THX Ultra 2 Matt.

    Steve,
Agree totally with your comments, I watched the disc last night and selected various scenes for comparison. The Disney mix is a complete reworking of the soundtrack and IS reference quality.

Review should be posted late tonight or tomorrow.
