To my Yamaha DSP-AX1, speakers: 2 System Audio 3070 and 2 System Audio 2070 and center QLN FS 600 I want to buy a subwoofer. I think to buy a Linn Sizmik or a REL Q400E. Which subwoofer will be the best?

I don't know anything about the Linn, but i have the REL Q400 and love it.
The only thing it laks is the realy deep bass. It drops pretty fast below 20hz.
You should try to listen to both, you're the only one that can decide which sounds best to you.

    Hi Magking

Use you your REL Q400E to both HiFi and movies? I think it is good to movies, but it is good to HiFi too?

It's very good to music also.
    I use it for both.
My system is Denon AVC A11SR surround amp, and B&W 604s2 front, B&W LCR6s2 center, and B&W 601s3 rear, Paradigm ADP150 at the sides.
When i use it for music i use the highlevel connection only, for surround i use both high and low level.
This is the best setup for my system, i have the front speakers set to large, all others to small. When i listen to music i use pure direct on the Denon and sub to off, to shut down the digital prossesing.
If there is anything more you want to know, just keep the questions coming.

i heard the Linn Sizmik when i bought my sub. it was very fast, tight and a great little sub. however, the room i wanted to put it in, i was advised that it would be too small to fill the room adequately. i ended up going for a monitor audio fast bass 212 and have not looked back since!:D BTW my room is 25X18ft to give you an idea. have a listen to the M&K mx125 at £1350 as this too is a great sub.
