    Hi,

We have been looking at the Linn Classik as a one box solution for listening to CDs and radio. Does anyone know if it is possible to connect an external antenna to the Classik as the fitting on the back doesn't look like a coax will fit into it - would we need a converter?

    Many thanks for any help.

    Pete

Yes the connector is an 'F' connector the same as used on satellite receivers.
You can buy the plugs ina B&Q, Homebase, Maplins etc.
You can buy adaptors from a standard 75 ohm coax plug to an F connector but you will get a better connection fitting the F plug directly onto the cable.

I would expect an F connector to come with the Classik. If not, they are cheap enough. They are better than the normal Belling-Lee co-ax plug as the central cable conductor goes directly into the socket, so we miss out another possible cause of signal degradation.

    As a long-time Linn user, I think you'll like it a lot!
