Hi!

Seems like I have found a nice forum!

I have searched the forum here and many other places to find a soulution to this problem. I have found many people with the same problem, but no soultion. Seems like many diffrent hardwares are affected.

Anyway, the problem:

When watching R1 NTSC movies and using RGB Scart, I get bright moving bars/lines/shadows, or what to say, across the screen.

Example:

RGB%20NTSC%20Shadows.jpg

Facts:

The problem only appears on R1 NTSC discs, not R2 PAL.

The problem only appears with RGB Scart, not when using S-Video or composite.

The problem appears most clearly in dark scenes with bright ojects at the corners of the screen. But with high brightness you can see the bars in any scene.

The problem is not related to quality of cables, I've tried many different brandings, both high-end and low-end.

The only picture-control on the TV that affects the lines is the brightness-control.

TV-set used: Sony KV-29K5E 29" Trinitron.

DVD-player used: Centrum Gemini.

So, any TV org RGB-guru out there who can tell me how to get rid of this problem? Is it the TV or the DVD that does it?

I would appreciate a solution to this problem extremely much!

Regards,

Tommy
