line down the middle of my LX508

Is this a common problem -- I've got a line from the middle of the screen to the bottom which changes colour depending on what is on TV. Green on a black screen but changes to reddish/gray on other backgrounds.

It just appeared in the middle of watching a DVD.

Can it be fixed? Will it improve or get worse?

I doubt whether that will get any better. You couldn't have had that more than a year so claim on your warranty. even if it's just over a year you are covered under the Sale of Goods act. You might get more help on this forum Plasma Televisions - AVForums.com
