Apple Source - Ho Ho Ho!

LINDY Electronics has announced the LINDY HDMI/DVI to Mini DisplayPort Convertor that enables users to connect their HDMI or DVI devices such as gaming consoles, Blu-ray players and set top boxes to an Apple Cinema Display.

The device takes the signals from an HDMI or DVI source and converts it into a mini DisplayPort signal. A 15cm Mini DP to DP adapter cable is also included to enable the user to connect to screens using full sized DisplayPorts. HDCP compliant, the LINDY HDMI/DVI to Mini DisplayPort Convertor supports audio over HDMI signals and a 3.5mm input port is provided to connect audio for DVI signals, which are video only.

“Our latest convertor enables Mac enthusiasts to easy connect something other than their Apple devices to the company’s LED Cinema Displays,” says Andrew Ingram, Product Manager of LINDY Electronics. “Plug and play installation makes the unit very easy to use whether it’s with your PlayStation or Sky box and its compact size means it’s easy to tuck away out of sight.”

Complete with multi country power supply, the convertor supports EDID enabling it to connect to any standard HDMI or DVI source to the Apple Cinema Display.

The LINDY HDMI/DVI to Mini DisplayPort Convertor has an RRP of £99.99 including VAT and comes with LINDY’s standard two year guarantee. Available now from HDMI Cables | USB Cables | FireWire Cables | AV Cables | KVM Switch or from USB, HDMI, Network, AV, KVM, Switches, Cables, Connectors and Adapters from LINDY Republic of Ireland for customers in Eire.
