I used to use them alot, never had any issue. When i bought the alien legacy set from them and it came without the legacy disc.... they replaced it before i even sent back the original all at their own cost.

Esoteric - 1. restricted to or intended for an enlightened or initiated minority, especially because of abstruseness (i.e. not easy to understand) or obscurity.

for anyone who 's as thick as s**t!?! me basically......

driver8 - if nothing else the limited numbers of this item could be worth the purchase alone.........

Totally agree which is the reason that i ordered this a month or so ago. I am very interested in watching the movies in this set and if i like them then thats a bonus if not then i will sell the set on ebay in say six months at a profit. At this price a profit should be guaranteed ;)

The good news is that they are arriving..........

The bad news is that the packaging is dodgy to say the least!!!!! Numerous reports from various threads that the discs are coming away from the clips and scratching them badly, so bad that some are unplayable!!

4 of the discs in my set are scratched, but I have not had a chance to test them yet (my job for the weekend).

Anchor Bay UK forum have a thread that people are posting to, I guess the idea is to get them to do a disc replacement service!

i received my copy from amazon yesterday and although they didnt feel loose, the moment i opened up the box, they fell out! (clips holding them are useless) i am still waiting for my other copy to arrive from dvdplus. despite the fact they werent loose, they still all have scratches!?! go figure....

apparently there are also some saying that the beast must die isnt widescreen but tbh i think it looks ok. (i must add i am not an expert on ratios)

anyhow the one thing i was most dissapointed by was the size of the packaging.. the coffins so tiny!?!

overall i am impressed especially by the amount of extra material on the discs.. its clear they have put an awful lot of effort into this release and for that at least, i thank them...

...My bargain set arrived on Sat morning, yay, but *every single disc* was off its holder! The racket of them rattling inside the coffin casing woke my neighbours as the postie brought it up to my flat. I've tested all the films and despite being scratched to hell they seem to play fine (i.e. load OK and start OK) besides one of them - I forget which, but it doesn't really matter - it blips during the Anchor Bay sting at the front, but other than that no worries. So it's a double thumbs up to AB for the films / extras (even though Beast is in 4:3 which surprised me) but three thumbs down to whatever idiot it was that designed the packaging! If AB are doing swapsies I'll get all mine replaced since, as I say, all my discs were scratched in transit, and I fail to see how *any* boxset bought mail order could possibly turn up in one piece since the disc holders are so frail. While all the films appear to be OK I'd hate any of 'em to start stuttering an hour in...

    dan. :(

Received mine also at the bargain price of 17.87, they were also loose, have not checked the discs yet as i just havent had time but will definitely check them over the weekend. The coffic packaging is very nice though, just a shame the plastic spindles are useless :(
