I have picked up a Limit 9900 DVD player from RS.

The first couple of discs played first time. When I put the fifth disc, it failed to play. From here I played all sorts of discs and different regions and they fail to load.

This failure has lost a bit of faith with the player. I am suppose to sell my Pioneer to a avforum user.

I did not have time to compare the picture quality with my Pioneer.

Should I change the Limit for a new one or get a refund and keep my Pioneer.

One of problem with the Limit?

    Any suggestions??

It would help if you provide details, i.e. what what the disc. Have you powered the system off and is there still a problem. What were you trying to do...

Unless there is a special application on the disc, it can't just break a player....

    Cheers,

    JP

I had this problem with the first Limit I got.

I changed it for another and its fine for now.

You can take it back to the shop with a problem DVD and ask them to try another one with the DVD. I did this and they had a television hooked up for testing it.

I think its worth trying to get a good one, as it gives a really good picture

I have changed the player for another one.

    It plays all the discs.

    Thanks for all the replies.
