Lighter patches on a black screen. Is it a fault? (sony kdl40w2000)

Hi,
I have just set up my sony kdl40w2000 (I dont know much about lcd), but i have noticed that when the screen goes black / dark, there are lighter areas of the picture in 3 of the 4 courners. Can you lcd experts advise me if its a fault? or if there is something i can do to fix it?
