I have a LG RH-4920WVL DVD Recorder and the problem is as follows.

When I press "Setup" on the Remote, a menu is displayed on the screen.
BUT in this menu the "Disc" option (first one from the bottom)
in not enabled. According to the manual this option SHOULD be enabled. In fact via this option is the only way to finalize a DVD-R in order to play it on another DVD player.

So, "Disc" option and all its submenus are not enabled. Anybody outhere knowing how to enable this option in order to be able to access the Finalize option? (No firmware available from LG).

    Thank you for your time.

Silly question but I assume you do have a valid disk in the machine?

Yes, I do. It's the disk used for dubbing from HDD on DVD (dubbing with no problem... hmmm at 1x speed, but this is not the issue!).

But your answer gave me a hint. From Home menu I selected DVD as the default recording media (the media used for "one touch recording" function) and "Disc" option was enabled. Strange way to organize things, but who cares... its working! Thanks a lot mate!
