Hi,

Apologies if this has been asked before, but I am seeing a record blocking signal error message when I try to record certain programs on SKY like 24 and Saxondale. The recording stops part way through because "record blocking signals are detected" I gather this is some sort of copyright protection used by the broadcasters, but is there any way to get around it, as it's making my DVD recorder a bit redundant...

Thanks. Any help offered, greatfully received.

Marcus

Not an answer but a couple of questions.
1) What sort of Sky box do you have?
2) What channels are affected?
3) Is it all programmes on those channels?

The reasons for the questions are that I have recently switched from a normal PACE Sky box to a Thomson Sky HD one. I cannot now record any channels other than BBC1,2 ITV1 , CH4 & CH5 where before I could do all except box office. Sky say there is no copyright encryption and aren't being too helpful.
Your scenario may give me some more clues.
